MOBILITY, STABILITY, AND STRENGTH

Programming is based upon the essential components of movement which are mobility, stability, and strength. Brickman Performance utilizes Grey Cook’s Functional Movement Screen (FMS) along with other relevant movement patterns to identify errors in movement and prescribe exercises to correct those errors.

Once adequate baseline movement is established, strength training can begin. The exercises that Brickman Performance uses to improve overall strength are the deadlift, squat, and press movements.

Too often, these movements are either taught incorrectly, or taught correctly to athletes that aren’t ready for them. No athlete who trains with Brickman Performance will be asked to perform an exercise they aren’t ready for.

Brickman Performance uses block periodization which can be adjusted to fit any season or lifestyle.
